  The biggest challenge is the firemen’s lives are very dangerous when there are fire happening. Its pro is they have a lot of perfect protections to help them away from the dangers. And the fire fighting trucks are very perfect.the trucks have a lot of equipments setting on the trucks to help the firemen to save other people. The con is when oxygen bottle cannot last for a long time if there is a big fire. The firemen can not have enough time to saving people. No, it is not. The living environment is pretty good and they can have times to take a break during the work time. However, the danger does not reduce. The exciting and glamorous is only for other people but not for firemen. Every time there are having a fire, firemen could be lose their lives. Therefore, I think being a fireman is a dangerous job.

Bonanzaville Village

1. What themes are displayed in Bonanzaville Village?

In the exhibition, the theme is about the World War Two and how the Nazi influence America and what Nazi has done. And the other part is about the life of native America Indian. In the Bonanzaville Village, there are many old houses showing different stores like drug store, phone, police and so on.
2. Describe the most interesting artifacts of the exhibition and reflect on their significance.

The most interesting artifacts of the exhibition is the house of native America Indian. From the model, we know that even though the houses are not so modern as the house today, in deed they can built a house which is very useful according to their living environment. The house can help them to protect themselves from the weather, big animals and raise animals.

Public Library

   Today we have visited the public library in Moorhead. There were a lot of students in the library to listen the presentation and did some activities in their summer holiday. I think these activities are very important for the children. They can learn something from the activities beside the knowledge in the textbook. Beside, the parents can go working without worrying about their children’s safety. However, in China, in the summer holiday, there are many kids have to stay in home watching TV or playing computer games. It wastes their time. So I hope in the future, many Chinese kids can also take part in some activities like these.

Thanks Giving

In ancient time, there was a traveler from the England. When he reached the north America, he lost all hie food and his board. Native Americans saved him and gave him enough food to survive though the winter. Beside, the native American have taught the traveler how to plan food. Therefore, the traveler wanted to thank the native American for giving his food so that he picked a day to celebrate. Now the day is called Thanks Giving. In the end, American use it to express their thanks to others.

Organic food has higher requirement to the environment so that it require the farmers provide more higher technology.

Comstock House

   The Comstock House which is Victorian style was completed in 1883. This house is designed in the popular style of the time mixing with some British element. The house is started with a profusion of spindle work porches, chimneys and poly-chromed siding and trim and has 11 rooms. The owner of the house has spent more than 50 years on the house. Beside, the menders of family has made a huge difference for the Moordead. Solomon G. Comstock has development to the local politics and law. In addition, his wife and his children have made developed to themselves as well. So the Comstock House is an important landmark of local history.

Nursing home

   Even though the nursing home we visited today is pretty good, i will still try not to let my parents live there when they are old. To be honest, the facilities in the nursing home is very convenient for the old people. However, I do not think it is the important thing for the old people. The old people actually really need their family to accompany. I have met a old woman. She said she has 9 daughters and 6 sons and she forgot herself. I felt a little bit sad and sorry about her, because she hae so many children but none of them can take care about her and have to put her to live in the nursing home and her home is near to the nursing house. Most of them are happy to see us to accompany them. If their kids can come to see them, they will be happier. Out parents have spent most of their time on taking care of us and teaching us how to make a living in the society. In the end, as their kids, we should spend time to accompany them as much as possible.
